Technical Expertise

The OTI GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION UNIT provides technical expertise in map making, spatial analysis, interactive data visualization, and graphic design.

 

The OTI WORLDWIDE ACTIVITY DATABASE is an integral part of OTI's unique business model, capturing detailed information about all of OTI's global activities in real times.

 

OTI performs intensive MONITORING AND EVALUATION with periodic strategic reviews, rolling assessments, and program performance reviews that enable situational awareness for strategic pivots in fluid environments.

PIONEERING INNOVATIVE SYSTEMS FOR CRISIS AND CONTINGENCY OPERATIONS

The OTI BULLPEN provides a surge capability of senior field and management advisors who can be deployed quickly based on the needs of a program.

 

OTI SYSTEMS utilize an internal web-base platform for knowledge sharing and organizational learning for OTI staff and implementing partners.

 

The OTI SUPPORT UNIT facilitates closeout of programs and handover of USAID missions and host governments.

 

 

OTI'S POLICY CORPS informs a wide range of policies including civilian-military coordination, countering violent extremism (CVE), operating in non-permissive environments (NPE), gender programming, and responding to the Presidential Directive on Atrocity Prevention.

 

OTI staff work directly with IMPLEMENTING PARTNERS both in the field and in Washington, DC to manage programs through a one-team approach.

FIELD PROGRAMS DIVISION (FPD)

 

The FPD provides expertise and technical support to country programs in the field, spearheading OTI's strategic engagement in intra- and inter-agency sector-specific dialogue and debate. The division helps to develop, oversee, and manage country programs and field staff. OTI currently has five regional teams including: Africa (AFR), Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), Afghanistan and Pakistan (AF/PAK), Middle East (ME), and Yemen, Europe & Eurasia, and Asia (YEA).

 

OPERATIONS & MANAGEMENT DIVISION (OMD)

 

The OMD provides OTI with an advanced level of administrative operations support to ensure ongoing and improved flexible, rapid response in the field. The division establishes and executes office-wide administrative operations procedures, systems and processes in the areas of human resources, finance, travel, and information technology support.

PROGRAM LEARNING & INNOVATION DIVISION (PLI)

 

The PLI strengthens OTI programs and operations through improved learning, effective planning, and innovative approaches. The division supports country programs through an array of functions including procurement and budget, lessons learned, program performance management, monitoring and evaluation, training, and data analysis to make OTI programming more effective, dynamic and relevant.
